FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Generally, no. Our trucks have a fresh water tank that we fill up at the beginning of every day before we do our carpet/upholstery jobs. The only water we will need on site is a sink/bathtub to fill our pump-up sprayer.

Typically 2 to 4 hours.
Sometimes we have to go over certain spots/stains a few times. In that case, we will go over the spots multiple times with dry passes to aid with the drying. If you can turn on any fans and crank up the heat (winter), this will speed up the process. Or open up your windows (summer) with the fans going. Air flow is key.
Try to stay off the wet carpets as best you can. The carpet will absorb more soil at this wet stage, and walking on it can mat down the carpet fibres. If you do have to go on it, wear clean, white socks.

Yes! We have carefully selected products that are highly effective while still being naturally-derived and non-toxic. However, if you have any allergies or sensitivities to smells, please inform us ahead of time and we will use a product that is scent-free. Product information sheets are available upon request.
-
We typically use hot water extraction.
We will park our van near the entrance. The closer we can get, the better. We will come in and have you show us the areas that are to be cleaned and then we’ll measure them. We then prepare our pre-spray treatment and apply it to the areas we want to clean. We like to start with the furthest bedroom/area from the entrance and work our way out the door.
After we’ve applied the pre-spray we’ll start bringing in the vacuum hose and the water line from the van. We’ll connect our carpet cleaning wand to the vacuum hose and water line. We will turn on the van (sorry for the noise) and then start with the cleaning. We pull on the trigger of the wand and hot water goes into the carpet, lifting the soil and oils. The powerful vacuum suctions everything into our waste tank in the van.

Yes, we can, but with a different process.
We have a portable carpet cleaning machine. It requires two people and more time, so costs a little more. It’s not quite as efficient as our truck-mounted system because we can only use tap-hot water, and it has lower water pressure. But it is a great solution for cleaning carpets in harder to access spaces, such as multi-storey apartment buildings.
Contact our office, or fill in our Service Request Form above, to give us the specifics of your job, and we’ll get back to you with the best options for cleaning and an approximate quote.

For the best results, your rug should be cleaned at our facility in Gibsons, where we’re set up to clean and dry it efficiently.
Steam cleaning an area rug at your home could ruin the finish on your flooring. Also, because rugs are not fixed to the floor like wall-to-wall carpeting, we can’t use strong suction to extract excess water. The saturated rug could take so long to dry that it starts to smell unpleasant.
